Hickory Rocking Chair w/Oak Arm

This beautifully rustic Hickory Rocking Chair w/oak arms and slats features handmade solid construction using the hardest of all American hardwoods. All the hickory and oak in our rockers is hand selected, kiln dried, and then crafted in the Heartland of American. Each joint is glued and double pinned with air driven nails because regular nails would bend due to the hardness of the hickory saplings.

A note about Hickory?
Hickory saplings, which grow under the much larger hickory trees and are naturally starved for sunlight, usually reach only two or three inches diameters. But because of the tremendous inward growth, which can be anywhere from 20- 50 years, hickory twigs are incredibly dense and strong.
