This unique Greene & Greene Style Trestle Table is typical of the Mission and Arts & Crafts style. This table is made out of solid wood cherry wood with finely detailed tenons and beautifully placed real ebony wood insets. In addition, this table is a hallmark of the Greene and Greene contributions to the Arts and Crafts movement.
Furthermore, that table is made out of ?Bread-Board? top which is constructed with end caps finger jointed and doweled onto the ends of the table tops. This is as in the finger grip on a kitchen bread board pull out. This is an attractive detail often imitated with veneer overlay to stimulate this design. When we do a bread-board top, it?s authentic. It is a real floating doweled end cap.
