Amish Crafted Solid Wood Furniture
A "Barn Floor" plank top is a traditional floor used in an Amish Barn. They use the Planks left as thick as possible while still giving a smooth and safe surface. When they plane the surface they use a "Hit and Miss" method to maximize the thickness. The saw cuts and separate planks vary and they do not replane after glue up. They just fill knots with Epoxy and sand smooth to the touch.

Quarter Sawn White Oak is about the strongest hardwood for barn floors and thus this is how we show it, however any wood can be used. This striking plank top extension dining table is shown in a 42" wide by 72" long size plus it takes an additional 4-12" leaves for a total of 120" length if all leaves are inserted. A table of this size can seat 6-8 unextended and as many as 10-12 fully extended. That by no means is a limitation to what we can build for you.
