This original design is from the mind of the Greene brothers and was our inspiration to make something truly different. As a result, we have made two versions of this 63" round table that expands to 80" round.
Firstly, this is a Quarter-Sawn White Oak table with a sturdy ”Arts and Crafts” base.
Secondly, it has a Classic Greene and Greene design that mirrors its original “Cloud Lift” base detail.
The concept of a round-to-round table is not a new idea. The United States Patent Office has many design patents issued, dating from the mid 19th century to more recently. In addition, self-storing leaves have been around for a hundred years. What we are offering is combining all of these features in 100% solid construction.
The more dramatic “Fletcher Table” with its intricate mechanism is priced at more than $50,000. Our table is significantly less, about $10,000 to $15,000 depending on the material you select. We offer our table in solid Quarter Sawn White Oak, Hard Maple, Cherry and Mahogany. Custom inlays are also available per your request.
At your request, we can also build our table with up to 14 standard 12” extension leaves, which can add up to 168 inches to your table.
